Walkthrough

See Notes regarding anything with ** if having trouble

• Talk to Arminibit or Ceraulian in Port San d'Oria Cargo Room A.

• Talk to Novalmauge** in Bostaunieux Oubliette (beneath Chateau d'Oraguille**).
  • Novalmauge** patrols between F-8 to G-8.

• Talk to Morjean in Northern San d'Oria (L-7) manuscript room in the Cathedral.

• Buy a few pickaxes (they can break) and head for the Maze of Shakhrami.
  • Ostalie in Southern San d'Oria (E-9) sells pickaxes.

• Travel to Maze of Shakhrami
  • Entrance to Maze of Shakhrami is in Tahrongi Canyon (K-5) near Teleport-Mea
• Locate an Excavation Point
  • Sneak and Invisible needed if around level 30
• Trade your pickaxe to an Excavation Point until you receive a Wyvern Egg.

• Return to Morjean in Northern San d'Oria (L-7) manuscript room in the Cathedral, and view a cut scene

• Travel to Meriphataud Mountains (K-8) and find the ??? located on the eastern edge of Drogaroga's Spine.
• Trade the Wyvern Egg to the ??? for a cut scene.
• Talk to Rahal in Chateau d'Oraguille (H-9) the Royal Knight's Quarters (on the left as you enter the Chateau).
  • Rahal will give you the Dragon Curse Remedy and send you to the Ghelsba Outpost.
• Travel to the hut at Ghelsba Outpost (F-10), click on the door and enter the battlefield "The Holy Crest" with Cyranuce M Cutauleon.
  • Any player may enter the battlefield including ones that have not flagged the quest.
  • This is a six-person, uncapped battlefield (TP and buffs are not lost upon entering).
• Defeat Cyranuce M Cutauleon to complete the quest.
  • Defeated solo by most non-mage jobs at level 45 rather than 30. May need a higher level for mage jobs. Individual experience may vary depending on job/gear/buffs/etc. (see NPC page for testimonials).

Notes

• You will need to be able to get into the Chateau d'Oraguille, and therefore must be Rank 2 if you are from San d'Oria, or at least have started the 2-3 Mission in Windurst or Bastok
• If you have the Scythe weapon skill quest Souls in Shadow active, you cannot complete the Novalmauge part of the quest until you complete the Scythe of Trials. Also, it's possible to obtain the Scythe of Trials while talking to Novalmauge to flag Dragoon. Choose your dialog options carefully.
  • Despite having the Scythe of Trials quest in progress, at least one person was able to complete DRG without issue.
• Although the cut-scene with Novalmauge tells you to ask the archeologist Oiheaurese to learn of dragons, he is an NPC who only appears in the cutscene with Morjean.
• While not an instanced BCNM fight, this fight is worth 1 HAAP point for anyone that assists you in completion of this quest
