These rocks are used mainly in Goldsmithing. They are well know for their high quality versions, which are used in the Gobbiebag quests. They are also widely used to make the stat-enhancing rings that are so helpful in the game.

The gems can be mined, excavated, choco dug, dropped from special fights, or bought as colored rocks. With a high-enough Goldsmithing skill they can be crafted with a wind crystal to make a gem.
