Historical Background
Apollo, in both Greek and Roman mythology, was one of the most important of the Olympian deities. Apollo was heavily associated with many attributes, mainly as a god of light and the Sun. This obviously explains his relation to the HQ Light Staff. He is also associated with: truth and prophecy; medicine and healing; archery; the arts (in particular poetry and music, especially the lyre); and many others.
