- Examine Gate: Lifeboat near the battlefield entrance to leave the ship and complete the quest.
- Use the exit before the battlefield timer expires or the completion may not register.

Battlefield
- The original level-75 version is uncapped and permits 3–6 players.

- The time limit is 30 minutes.
- Every participating party member must have the quest active.
- Status enhancements other than food are removed upon entry.
- Equipment with an "Assault:" latent effect functions within the battlefield.
- A cage of Cutter Fireflies is provided to each participant upon entry.
- Only the ordinary enemy waves must be defeated to complete the quest.
- Swiftwinged Gekko is an optional bonus target.
| Enemy | Number | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ashu Talif Crew | Numerous | Low-HP Fomor appearing in several jobs. Every enemy belonging to the same wave links when one is engaged. |
| Watch Imp | Numerous | Low-HP Imps capable of casting high-tier Black Magic, including Ancient Magic. |
| Swiftwinged Gekko | 1 | An optional Imp NM that appears repeatedly during the encounter. Defeating it causes a bonus Ancient Lockbox to appear. |
Battle Flow
The battlefield progresses through three broad phases:
- Waves composed primarily of Ashu Talif Crew.
- Waves composed primarily of Watch Imps.
- Mixed waves containing both enemy types.
Swiftwinged Gekko appears several times throughout these phases. It spawns on the lower deck, moves toward the upper portion of the ship, casts area-of-effect enfeebling magic, and disappears after reaching its destination.
- Gekko commonly uses effects such as Sleep, Bind, and Paralysis.
- Damage dealt to Gekko is retained between its appearances.
- Stun and high burst damage can be used to delay or defeat it before it disappears.
- Defeating Gekko is not required to complete the battlefield.

Temporary Items
Participants are reportedly supplied with temporary items twice during the encounter.
All participants receive:
Characters entering as the following jobs reportedly receive an additional item:
| Job | Additional Temporary Item |
|---|---|
| Beastmaster | Pet Food Zeta |
| Dragoon | Drachenessence |
Because the temporary items are supplied again later in the encounter, the first set can be used during the earlier waves when needed.
Strategy
- Move most of the party to the upper deck or the top of the stairs.
- Ordinary enemies appear on the lower deck, reducing the risk that newly spawned waves immediately attack the entire party.
- Assign one durable player to collect each linked wave and bring it to the group.
- Area-of-effect weapon skills, spells, and Blood Pacts are highly effective because the ordinary enemies have relatively low HP.
- Prioritize Watch Imps when mixed waves appear.
- Their high-tier Black Magic can become dangerous when several Imps begin casting simultaneously.
- Watch for ranged Ashu Talif Crew that remain away from the main group instead of following the puller.
- If the party only needs the quest clear, do not sacrifice control of the ordinary waves to pursue Swiftwinged Gekko.
- If attempting the bonus objective, coordinate Stun effects and burst damage each time Gekko appears.
- Use the supplied temporary items before the later resupply rather than preserving the first set for the entire encounter.
Rewards
One Ancient Lockbox appears after every required wave has been defeated. A second Ancient Lockbox appears if Swiftwinged Gekko is defeated.
