Blue Mage

Blue Mage is a versatile melee-mage hybrid job available after completing An Empty Vessel.

Blue Mages learn Blue Magic from enemies and set those spells to customize their combat role. Depending on the spells set, a Blue Mage can gain access to offensive magic, physical attacks, support abilities, healing, enfeebling, and job traits.

Blue Magic

Main article: Blue Magic

Unlike most magic, Blue Magic must be learned from monsters and then set before it can be used. Each spell has a Blue Magic Point cost, and the number of spells that can be set is limited by the Blue Mage's level.

Learning Blue Magic

Blue Magic is learned from monsters after seeing the monster use the ability and defeating it.

Physical Potency	Increases physical blue magic potency.
Magical Accuracy	Increases magical blue magic accuracy.

Group 2

Merit	Effect
Convergence	Enhances the next magical blue magic spell and limits area of effect to one target.
Diffusion	Allows the next support blue magic spell to affect nearby party members.
Enchainment	Grants a TP bonus to Chain Affinity.
Assimilation	Increases maximum Blue Magic Points.
