Notes
Note: It is advisable to not skip this mission so that you may sooner obtain a Portal Charm for passing the Three Mage Gate by yourself.
- This mission is skippable. Should you skip it and obtain a higher rank, completing this mission will be different. See the notes at the end.
- Trade 5 crystals to a war warlock to unlock this mission.
Walkthrough
- Accept the mission from any Windurst Gate Guard and make your way to Heavens Tower and proceed to the second floor.
- Talk to Zubaba who will give you the Charm of Light.
Note: The next part of the mission requires you to pass the Three Mage Gate. For this, you need a Black Mage, a Red Mage and a White Mage in the party or someone in possession of the Portal Charm. See the Three Mage Gate page for details on your options.
- Go to East Sarutabaruta (J-7) and enter the Inner Horutoto Ruins through the tower.
- Proceed to the Three Mage Gate at Inner Horutoto Ruins, Rose Tower 1 (H-9), pass it, and continue on to the small room at Inner Horutoto Ruins, Rose Tower 2 (G-7), where you will find the Gate of Light.
- Check the Gate of Light for a cutscene.
- Return to Heavens Tower and speak to Zubaba to finish the mission.
Note: Zubaba does not give you the Portal Charm. To obtain it, finish the mission and trade a Rolanberry to Kupipi.
Repeating the mission
- If you have skipped this mission and obtained a higher rank, or are repeating it, the mission will work differently:
- Accept the mission and speak to Zubaba. She will ask for you to bring her 3 Rusty Daggers. These can be purchased on the Auction House (but may be rare), or obtained from the Wendigos past the Three Mage Gate (the same skeletons that drop Test Answers).
- Trade Zubaba the Rusty Daggers to complete the mission. Obtaining the Portal Charm is done the same way as completing the mission regularly.
