Notes

King Behemoth's Meteor
  • King Behemoth can spawn in one of many zones on HorizonXIHorizonXI specific changes
  • Can pop instead of Behemoth on the 4th day up to a force pop of King Behemoth on the 9th day.Verification Needed
  • Windows are 22~23 Hours after the last death.
    • Windows are every 10 minutes and a force pop happens after 60 minutes
  • A message is seen by people in the zone that there has been a Spawn.
    • KingBehemothtext.png
  • Like many NMs on HorizonXI There is a Claim Shield Any action will put you on the "claim" list. once the Claim Shield falls off, a random person will be picked to win the claim.HorizonXI specific changes
  • HNM's such as King Behemoth will Draw In your AllianceHorizonXI specific changes
  • Susceptible to Paralyze, Slow, and Gravity. Gravity resistance will build after repeated use.
  • Either the Defending Ring or Pixie Earring is guaranteed to drop, with the Pixie Earring dropping significantly more often. If the chosen drop is already owned by all party members, it will not appear in the list of drops (hence why the above entries don't add up to 100%). Square-Enix has confirmed that drop rate for Defending Ring is NOT increased by Treasure Hunter.[1]
  • More than one of the same Abjuration can drop from one King Behemoth i.e. two Wyrmal Abjuration: Head, Drop rates may vary due to this.
  • King Behemoth rages after 60 minutesVerification Needed. When King Behemoth rages no difference in physical appearance is shown unlike Fafnir.
  • Uses the attacks:
Meteor --- Wide AoE magic damage centered on the target of the spell. Can hit anyone in range like Nidhogg's Hurricane Wing. If the target of the spell runs beyond 30.0' the spell will not finish casting. Using an "/assist <t>" macro on King Behemoth is helpful in determining who has hate when Meteor is being cast.
Kick Out --- Used when hate is generated from behind King Behemoth. 40' range. Affects everyone in range. Causes Blind.
Howl --- Gives King Behemoth a substantial attack boost.
Wild Horn --- Cone shaped damage originating from the front of King Behemoth.
Thunderbolt --- 30' AoE lightning damage centered around King Behemoth. Affects everyone in range like Nidhogg's Hurricane Wing. Causes Stun.
Shock Wave --- Cone shaped damage originating from the front of King Behemoth.
Flame Armor --- Gives King Behemoth a Blaze Spikes effect. Can be stolen with Aura Steal.
  • King Behemoth's regular attacks have an additional effect of Stun.
  • King Behemoth's AoE attacks will not hit people standing inside the tunnels. (His range is within the large open area).
