Summoner Macro Guide

A guide to organizing your Summoner macro books for the level 75 cap. One Avatar per page, one button per ability, no fumbling mid-fight.

Overview

Summoner has more abilities than any other job — every Avatar comes with its own Blood Pact set. Rather than cramming everything into one macro set, this guide gives each Avatar its own page with a central "Hub" to navigate between them.


Tips & Tricks

  • Alt line is identical on every page. Assault, Retreat, support spells, Avatar's Favor, and Astral Flow are always in the same spot. Muscle memory saves lives!
  • Blood Pact: Rage and Blood Pact: Ward have separate timers. Use a Rage and a Ward back-to-back. Smart rotation: Rage → Ward → wait → repeat.
  • Release before resummoning. You can't summon a new Avatar while one is out.
  • /wait 7 for summoning. Ensures the page doesn't switch before the spell finishes.
  • Label your macros clearly. Names like "FlmCrsh" or "Hastega" help you find things at a glance.
  • Don't spam party chat. Only announce what the party needs — Sleepga warnings, Hastega_(Blood_Pact), key debuffs.

Macro Basics

  • Each macro has 6 lines of commands.
  • 20 slots per set — 10 on Ctrl, 10 on Alt.
  • Switch pages with /macro book # and /macro set #.
  • /pet "Ability" <t> — command your Avatar.
  • /ma "Spell" <me> — cast a spell yourself.
  • /wait # — delay between lines (decimals like /wait 0.5 work).
  • /p — party chat. /echo — only you see it.

Avoid <bt> (battle target) — it causes targeting issues in parties with multiple mobs.

Each book has 10 pages (sets), and each page has 10 Ctrl + 10 Alt slots = 20 macros. All 9 Avatars plus a Hub fit in one book.

Summon a spirit, siphon MP, release. Match the spirit to the current day/weather for maximum MP return.

Add these to your summon or Blood Pact macros for party entertainment. Mix and match as you please.
Again in most situations for spammy spells and in general its best to not spam party chat and focus on helpful info on abilities like Sleepga or Hastega but not really needed.

Chat Etiquette

  • Use /echo for jokes only you see — never annoys anyone.
  • Use /p sparingly — funny the first time, not the 400th.
  • Use /say for flavor — nearby players see it but it won't clutter party chat.
