This guide contains gear choices for the aspiring Ninja. I am aware that there are

many other choices suitable for the job at given levels. What i have picked out are the ones

that are most noteworthy only. That is, they will allow the player to be as versatile as possible.

Also, NIN gear below 30 is pretty basic and there's not much special about it, save a few exceptions. So those

will have to be chosen at the player's discretion.

Weapon

Main Slot

As a general rule, once you get Dual Wield at level 10, find a main hand weapon with the highest damage for that level and use a low delay weapon with some kind of enhancement (additional effects poison/defense down, spell interruption rate, parry, evasion, etc.) in the offhand. I will list the most notable Katanas here.

Inside abyssea, Blade: Hi will average 3-4k on a decently geared NIN with spikes around 5-6K. Outside, Jin is still favored simply because Hi relies so heavily on a critical strike.

90	Koga Hatsuburi +2 [Head] All Races DEF: 29 HP +38 Accuracy +9 Evasion +9 Dusk to Dawn: Parrying Skill +12 Enhances Ninjutsu damage Lv. 90 NIN	Trial of the Magians Trial 4774 - 50 Forgotten Thoughts Trial 4775 - 30 Forgotten Thoughts This piece gives an amazing 10% Magic Attack Bonus to Ninjutsu. The augmented next tier also gives 5% extra damage per merit into San elemental.
