Black Mages (BLM) bring tremendous firepower to the battlefield through their use of elemental and dark magics. Black mages also offer their party crowd control and utility options should they find themselves in a dicey situation or when it's time to return home after an adventure.
In battle Black Mages are often called upon to magic burst, after their party members skillchain, finishing off adversaries with finesse. Seasoned Black Mages may even accomplish magic bursting two spells off of one skillchain to add even more destructive power to a party's repertoire.

Those who begin their adventure as a Black Mage start with a scroll of Stone and an Onion Staff.

Horizon Changes

• Minor changes to Artifact Armor and significant changes to Casting Wand.
• Major changes to the relic weapon Claustrum.
• +2 to base MP recovery rate, for a total of +6, upon reaching level 75.

• Some Elemental magic scrolls bought from vendors have reduced prices. The amount needs further investigation but appears to be around 40%. Scrolls with reduced prices can be found to be marked as such on the wiki.
• Magic Bursts receive an extra +35 Magic Accuracy, +35 Magic Attack and reduced enmity generation, except on notorious monsters.
• Poison's DoT effect has been increased from 1 per tick to 4 per tick.
